Cheverly Day Information and Requests
We will have absolutely the best and biggest entertainment package ever presented in Cheverly at Cheverly Day this year - June 11, 2005. For the first time ever, we will have two stages!

The Main Stage will feature four professional acts from 2PM - 8:30 PM with a range of styles representing the diversity of our community - Latin jazz, Afro-Pop, Jazz and hip-hop/R&B/go-go/rock.

The new Second Stage will open at 10:30AM and run until 8:30PM featuring local and upcoming talent. It will be awesome.

We need staff to assist with sound system loading and unloading, set up and stage changes. Please contact Alan Lewine to get involved. 202-251-3622 (mobile) 301-772-5077 (home)

The "Cheverly Bat" Series is tied at 1-1. Who will be awarded the bat this year? Come play or plan to watch. Coaches: East-Cindy Popol 301-773-2211
West-Mike Callahan 301-772-3197.

Cindy asks that you please give her a call and let her know you plan on playing so she can plan playing time. Callahan isn't nearly that organized, but call him anyway just so he remembers he's in charge, and shows up on time (11:30 1st pitch, Mike).

The Cheverly Day Committee could use a handful of volunteers throughout the day for various tasks - mostly sedentary and low-stress stuff. Send Bill Stringer a note at if you'd like to help us out.

The Cheverly Day 2005 program will be arriving shortly. We think it's a tad better than last year's, but not nearly as good as next year's!!!!

FYI - Cheverly Day has filed to incorporate as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
More details in the program book.
