Prince George’s Planning Department is in the beginning stages of preparing a new countywide functional master plan, called the Resource Conservation Plan (RCP). The RCP will serve to: 1) update the County’s existing Green Infrastructure Plan; 2) establish policies and strategies related to agriculture (that will include urban ag); and 3) establish policies and strategies related to rural character conservation. A green infrastructure plan already exists, but the other components are new.
Two evening community input sessions have been set up to allow you to come and learn about the Resource Conservation Plan and provide your input. The Prince George’s County Planning Department is excited about partnering with the Sierra Club, the Farm Bureau, and the Greater Baden Acquasco Citizens Association (GBACA) who are hosting these events. Light refreshments will be served at 6:30 pm, and the input sessions will begin at 7:00 pm.
The dates are
JANUARY 5TH IN HYATTSVILLE, for the Environment Input Session
JANUARY 6TH IN BADEN for the Rural and Agricultural Input Session
