Reconstruction of the Metrorail system will continue over the weekend of November 15-17, 2013, with service adjustments beginning at 10 p.m. Friday night and continuing through system closing on Sunday.
RED LINE SINGLE TRACKING
Red Line trains will single track between Dupont Circle and Van Ness-UDC. Red Line trains will operate between Shady Grove & Glenmont every 16 minutes throughout the weekend, and between Farragut North & Silver Spring every 8-10 minutes between 9:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. only.
ORANGE LINE SINGLE TRACKING
Orange Line trains will single track between Stadium-Armory and Cheverly. Orange Line trains will operate every 20 minutes throughout the weekend.
GREEN LINE TRACK WORK
Free shuttle buses will replace Green Line between Archives & Navy Yard stations. Waterfront station will be closed, and L’Enfant Plaza will be open for Blue/Orange Line trains only. Buses will run between Archives and Navy Yard with intermediate stops at L'Enfant Plaza and Waterfront stations. Allow 10 minutes of travel time for each stop. For example, a rider traveling between L'Enfant Plaza and Navy Yard should allow 20 minutes because the bus makes two stops.
NO YELLOW LINE
There will be NO Yellow Line service this weekend. Use Blue Line as alternate for service to/from Virginia stations. A special Shuttle Train will operate every 10 minutes between Huntington and Braddock Road stations only. Passengers traveling to/from Huntington or Eisenhower Ave stations should transfer to/from Blue Line service at Braddock Road.
