The Town of Cheverly to Conduct Public Input Meetings on Future Cable Television Needs
As part of the cable television franchise renewal process with Comcast, the Town of Cheverly will be conducting two public input meetings on April 12th and 26th to allow residents to comment on desired future cable television service needs and local public, educational, and governmental (PEG) access programming needs and interests. These public input meetings will begin at 8 pm and will be held at the Cheverly Community Center located at 6401 Forest Road, Cheverly, Maryland.
These meetings are not intended to just examine past performance, but rather to look to what is needed by the community going forward. The public will be allowed to offer brief opinions and views on future needs for cable television and PEG access programming and information. Attendees wishing to address the meeting will be asked to sign in when arriving, and will then be able to speak for up to three (3) minutes during that meeting.
A random sampling of residents and local businesses may also receive a written survey soon inviting their feedback and input on current and future needs and interests. Those who receive the surveys are asked to return them in the postage-paid envelope provided. The input gathered from these surveys and the public meetings will assist in determining the future cable television-related needs and interests for the community within a new Comcast cable television franchise agreement.
